We’ve been intercepting encoded letters from Jodie, Maryam and Harry, all while also intercepting the chapters…

We asked this on twitter, we are not the MIDAS, we are helping Jodie and Maryam decipher the messages
But then why don’t we get told how the As are encrypted because if we are helping them then they can tell us what Cipher and key A used
Yes, very true!
Same for B, they manage to crack it in part A (4a: “I was astonished by the text! It took me a while to crack it…”). It’d be so much easier not only for us cryptanalysts but also for the intended recipient of the letter.
