On our first attempt at 3A when my team submitted we scored less than 100 points, if you submit again is there a cap on the number of points you can obtain?
No – the most correct answer that you submit is the only mark that gets counted. For part B (which unlike A has points deadlines throughout the week), a later correct answer is worth more than an earlier, not quite correct answer. So it’s always worth submitting again if you have improved your solution.
After you have deciphered it do not change anything even if it looks wrong. If you haven’t changed anything and you have kept the punctuation given in the ciphertext then try and do something else to take your mind off it so that you can look back at it later in a new light.
